Today we left Wawa and headed west around the northern shores of Lake Superior. The skies were a little overcast, high cloud and cool, great for travel. We passed through Marathon, (home of Winnie the Pooh), Agua Canyon, where we stopped for pics of the sheer cliffs and waterfall and Eagle Canyon where we crossed their two suspended bridges but passed on Canada's longest Zip line. (like I'm going to jump off a platform 150 feet in the air!) We arrived in Thunder Bay at about 5:00PM, stopped at the Terry Fox memorial and then went looking for accommodation and dinner. We have only done 400K today compared to 800K yesterday, but there was just too much to see. We stopped once to walk on a rocky beach on the north shore of Superior. Around every curve in the road the vistas were breathtaking. To save time I was forced to perfect the shoot through the windshield photographic technique, and unfortunately the smeared bugs become part of the scenery. I can only post a few of the 140 shots taken today. Hope they can convey the rugged beauty that is north of Superior.
