Life in our trailer has been a unique experience; 8' x 20' living quarters, no TV, no movies.... I know it may sound shocking, but without electronic entertainment we fall back on old classics like bike rides down the coastal highway to the Cone Zone for one of their 32 flavours of ice cream, a walk to the beach or a drive to explore places not yet visited. One such drive took us to Spider Lake, south on the coastal highway and then inland. There are private homes and cottages nestled along the shore of the lake and a provincial park for camping and picnics. It was a nice evening, warm but unusually hazy. Without TV, out of the loop of even local news it took a while for us to realize the cause. Smoke from the wild fires burning on the mainland at Whistler and Lillouet had drifted west and over the islands in the strait. The landscape took on a soft and dreamy appearance.
At different times I have taken shots of Deep Bay, Fanny Bay and Horne Lake. How much of this can you stand? Oh well, fast forward past them if you've had enough pretty landscapes because coming soon - something really exciting: Ready?....The Foundation!
I enjoy the landscape pictures - it is like traveling with you
